ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS AND ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE
Entrance Languages
Applications are welcome from students world-wide. Minimum requirements are a good Honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate subject area (most typically European Studies, French (or German, or Italian, or Spanish) Studies, Politics, History, Economics and Sociology). Students are also expected to be for instance near-fluent in English and one other European language relevant to the countries participating in the programme. NB evidence of English Language proficiency is required, eg TOEFL, IELTS or Cambridge Proficiency Certificate. Applicants for sites other than Bath and those which work in English must demonstrate evidence of their ability to work academically at the appropriate level in that language. In the event of any doubts, students will be tested in the appropriate language within a month of arriving in Bath for the Core Module. In the event of their failing to meet required standards, another test will be arranged within another month. There will be no charge for these tests, but anyone who fails the second test will have to choose an English language site, or one which uses a language in which they do have sufficient skills.
